Dangerous (Power of Words)

Words, I think, are the most
powerful
things in the
universe

Many say
weapons
hold more power
but
I beg to differ

While swords may
cut
and guns
aim
words will 
stab 
and stay

They
attach 
like leeches

And they
slowly,
painfully
make their way through the
mind, invade all thoughts until they reach
the most vital part
The heart

The very
core
of a person

It is then when the
words
that have been uttered in a
sentence thought to have been
harmless—
it is then when they do the
most harm

Because words can put
out
even the most
brightest
of fires

Words make the most
strongest
men crumble to their
knees

They can also
build up
the most broken one of
all 

Words can mend the 
slashes of pain
and
misery
in a persons
soul

See, words aren't
bad
Don't blame
them

Blame the person who has the
audacity
to use words in a
devastating
way

We must learn
how
to use them
when
to use them and
effectively
use them

Because many underestimate
the capacity,
the ability,
the power
of words
